    Whirlwind
    Bad For Me
    Love Is Love
    Hey Goddess
    Bus Driver

    Mo’ Better

    I look over my shoulders
    The lamplight in your eyes
    You’re walking away now
    You’re saying goodbye

There’s somebody better for you you’re saying
As you walk out the door
But if only I knew what you meant
What I’m saying is I got so much more

    chorus:
More better – more stars up in the evening sky
More better – more dancing neath the full moon light
More better – more waking to a pure sunrise
More better – even better when I open my eyes
    Open my eyes………….more better

    When we were together
You were the sun and the moon
    But now that we’ve parted
I got a bigger, better view

    chorus

    You look over your shoulders
I can’t talk to you now
Cause I got a new journey
    I’ll see you around

There’s more to life than I fathomed
I’ve had some rough times of my own
If only you knew what I meant
What I’m saying is I got so much more

    chorus

Amazon Warrior Princess (title track to our first CD)

I watched her from across the room,
With her three kids in line since noon.
The man put soup in all their bowls
A few green beans, a crusty roll.
Her step rock-solid, her head held high
They sat down and the meal went by…

I sat down and we started to talk.
She was goin’ to work, they were gonna to walk.
“May I offer you a ride?”
She said, “No, my kids need the exercise.”

She’s a big bad gina who’s in control
And when they walked away I said real low:

    You are a goddess
    You are an angel
You are a warrior, like an Amazon princess
    You are kindness
    You fight the good fight
Standing up tall, making it through the long night.

A tribe of women we do not know
Dig in dry dirt for seeds they sow
Carrying water in great big sacks
Across their shoulders and on their backs
To nourish the earth and water the ground
Of their little garden, safe and sound.

Three months later, a harvest feast
Complete with bread and roasted beast.
No hungry mouths for miles around
Their “loaves and fishes” were profound
Jesus did it like a magic show
But these tireless women made a garden grow!

    They are goddesses
    They are angels
They are warriors, like an Amazon princess
    Oh teach me
    To fight the good fight
    How to knock down walls
And make it through the long night.

    (instrumental break)

I’ll tell you what I was lookin’ for
Until I looked inside and found much more
I’ve got big strong arms and a heart full of love
    I’ve got a wallet that’s not empty
    And grace like a dove
I’ve got food on my table and clothes on my back
When I look at my life – I do not lack.

    I am everything I want.
    I am everything I need.
    I am 32 flavors, a Giant, indeed.
Like Maya says, I’ll cut my own path through
And when I’m done, I’ll come help you.

    I am a goddess
    I am an angel
I am a warrior – like an Amazon princess.
    I work hard
    To fight the good fight
    Building bridges
And making it through the long night.

    Run or Fall

There’s been times in my life
When I thought I knew it all.
I didn’t have to think twice
And I still managed to fall.
Same old stories, same old lies.
You’d think I’d learn better, you’d think I’d wise up to the top.
It’s a long way down, don’t go burning your bridges
    or being too proud.
I’ve heard it all along but still I fail to listen.
But still I don’t remember ending up regretting.

I just might discover what’s behind door number one.
Between the stressing the second guessing
open up and have some fun.
So I raise my hand me down your favorite
close the door why were you in the looking glass,
it’s plain to see – I’m still confused about a few more things.

My pockets weighing me down to the bottom.
I’m drowning in my bottoms up up.
Up up and away, up up and away.
This life you cling to is oh such a game.

But you got too much to loser takes all
All or nothing, nothing for all.
In the heat of the moment, you run or you fall,
You run or you fall, you run, you run, you run for it run.

There’s been times in my life
When I thought I knew it all.
I didn’t have to think twice
And I still managed to fall.
Same old stories, same old lies.
You’d think I’d learn better, you’d think I’d rise up to the occasion,
it’s a long way down, don’t go burning your bridges or being too proud.

I heard it all along and still I failed to listen
but still I don’t remember ending up regretting.

The moral of this story is to learn from your mistakes.
Leave behind your doubt and guilt and fear, and give yourself a break.
Your bad habits ensure that you haven’t left your identity behind.

Keep on, bring on, keep on keeping on with a positive mind.

    Baby Be Nice

    You do me wrong
    Then say you’re sorry
    It’s happened more than twice
    Then I get mad
    ‘cause you’re treating me bad
    Baby, Be Nice

    Those words you said
    You didn’t mean them
You’d think that I’d get wise
But I hold on, even when love is wrong
    Baby, Be Nice

    Chorus:
You break my heart, because you can
Gives you some kind of pleasure
If I were smart, I’d find someone
Find someone who would treasure me

You wore me out, now I’m too tired
    To take my own advice
    So please be kind
‘Cause I’m out of my mind
    Baby, Be Nice
    Baby, Be Nice

    I Had Every Intention

I’m counting somedays maybe one day make it Tuesday
I’m putting off deadlines ignoring the headlines
    Hold society at bay
Give into the pressure brought on by stressing
from the things I’ve left undone
Bet I’m not the only one
    I had every intention

I should say I had every intention to finish the projects I intended
but left undone they’re only thoughts inside my brain
It takes some action ignoring distractions that throw my off my guard
Always idealistic so optimistic except when it’s time to follow through
It’s easier said than done, don’t I wish I were done – I’ve only begun
But it keeps me wondering wondering
    What from here……..what from here

Still caught in the structure follow the pattern
    The examples that we’re taught
Ruled by the shoulds, if only I coulds, should nots, the only if I woulds
Procrastinating keep hesitating making excuses left and right
No real relief from my indecisions that keep me guessing bout
    Where I ought to go
No discernible outline but it’s a fine line between here and where I’ve been
Don’t wanna go back again….don’t wanna go back…..
But it keeps me wondering wondering
    Where from here………where from here

By the time that I decide
I’ll find the worry was unneeded
I”ll make the choices I was supposed to in spite of freakin out
I won’t take for granted cause I acted out of rules that bind with
If I shoulds, if only i coulds, the couldn’ts,
The if I woulds if only I shoulds, the shouldn’ts

Hey I will say I had every intention to finish the projects that I start
But for now I’ll be content to leave things as they are

    Whirlwind

    Chorus
There’s a whirlwind spinning ’round in my head
your eyes looking deeply as you’re crawling in my bed
Baby, tell me, tell me, tell me what you’re thinking about
I want to know everything about you inside and out.

    There’s a whirlwind/spinning round/tell me, tell me, tell me

    I saw you dancing
    With that bumptious girl
I know you saw me looking
    Made my senses whirl
    I walked across the floor
    Knowing your heat
I wiped the sweat from your neck
    And your cheek

    Chorus

    With your full attention
I led you out the door
    Knowing we were going
Where we had not been before
You took me by the hand
I saw it in your eyes
    Then we went upstairs
    Your passion, my prize

    Chorus

    (percussion solo)
    She told me….
    She told me….

    I said…
    I said…

    Then we…
    yeah, we…

    Chorus

    Bad for Me

    Bad for Me
Makes me want you more and more
And I don’t know what for
    You’re so Bad for Me
    Bad for Me
    Everyday you make me cry
When all you do is cheat and lie
    You’re so bad for me

    Chorus:
    Mama told me long ago
To lose that one just let it go
    But I can’t listen
When you’re kissin’ in my ear

    Bad for Me
But I’m so in love with you
I know that it’s good for you
But oh so Bad for Me

    Love Is Love

Paige has two mothers, one Mommy, one Mama
While the others are asking why
‘Cause family’s not only mommy and daddy
It takes love and the courage to try

    chorus:
    ‘Cause love makes a family
    Love crosses borders
Love has no gender and accepts without orders
‘Cause love is love is love is love
    Love is love is love

    Love is love……….

Phoebe and Polly are Paige’s twin sisters
Now their family has tripled in size
Born prematurely these babies were nurtured with
Love care and strength, now they thrive

    chorus

Determined to give their 3 daughters a quality life
    These mothers will strive
To prove to society that love makes a family
    Regardless of preference or style

    chorus

    Hey Goddess

    Chorus
Hey, hey, pretty Goddess, do you want to come over to play?
To my house in the woods, maybe you could stay all day
    and all night
Hey, hey, Cinderella, are you looking for your shoe?
Come a little closer and slip it on
    maybe I’ll marry you!

    Chorus

The first time that I saw you
    walk into that little bar
I put down both my beers
    and picked up my guitar:
and sang, “Honey-Darlin with the big brown eyes
catching my heart and my soul by surprise
let’s climb a mountain and watch the sunrise.”

    Chorus

Much to my surprise and delight
you liked my song, and you walked right by
    to the furthest pool table
    but you caught my eye
and this is what I heard you say:
“Bring some quarters and play me a game
you win this one, I’ll tell you my name
I win, you sing your song again.”

    Chorus

You’re on your path and I’m on mine
Two Goddesses together can be so fine
Our journey continues til the end of time
and you can still hear me sing:
“Honey darlin with the big brown eyes
caught my heart and my soul by surprise
we climbed the mountain and watched the sunrise.”
    Chorus
    Chorus

    Bus Driver

Three Hannahs, Two Savannahs and a Haydn and a Kaydn
A Mary with a Catherine and a Catherine with an Ann
I know the names of over sixty something children
Cuz I am the bus driver, bus driver I am
    hit it…….

I pick ‘em up very, very, very, very, very early
I take ‘em all to school and drive ‘em safely home
I like it better when I’m driving all alone
When I can tap my feet and shake my head
    And make a funky rhyme
When I don’t have to worry bout being on time

    chorus:

I am the bus driver, bus driver I am
I am the best one, the best they ever had
I am the bus driver, bus driver I am
I drive a yellow bus, I do the best I can
    help………

Two Taylors and two Tylers and an Austin and a Justin
And an Emily, a Natalie, Ashley and Mary Kate
I gotta to tell ‘em all – sit down most everyday
Cuz if I have to pull it over, then it makes us late

    chorus

Well there’s parents and there’ s traffic
Not to mention all the noise
The ones that cause the most trouble
    Are prepubescent boys
I gotta to tell ‘em how to act right on the bus
Keep your arms inside, don’t hit and do not cuss

    chorus

    after last chorus:

I am the bus driver I am
I am the bus driver, oi vei
I am the bus driver, what have I done
If you’re looking on the road, I’m number 21
I am the bus driver I am
I am the bus driver, I am the bus driver,
I am the bus driver I AM
