Big Bad Gina goes to the West Coast!

Big Bad Immense Profuse Thanks to Laura Love and Mary McFaul for bringing us onboard and offering this incredible opportunity. We are so grateful and looking forward to this new musical adventure! We have begun the journey west and have been enjoying the sites along the way with so much more in store. We have several performances scheduled with Laura Love from Washington to Oregon to California. A complete schedule can be found on our calendar page. We will trade, share and combine sets with Laura who, like BBG, is genre hoppin'. Her music bounces from bits of the blues, bluegrass, jazz, and folk to gospel, reggae, and country; all mixed up and described as Folk-Funk, Afro-Celtic, Hip-Alachian. We encourage you to find out for yourself what Laura Love's music does for your soul by visiting www.lauralovemusic.com. However, a live Laura Love performance is an experience and one you won't forget and combined with Big Bad Gina is some Big Bad Love!!

Fayetteville Pride and Progress

Thanks again for all who showed up and tuned in to our live webcast "Bon Voyage Party" from Fayetteville. It was fun knowing you all were out there and thanks for your comments and questions. One of the questions asked was, "What was your favorite Pride?" While we did say Milwaukee because of the sheer size (30,000 people) and length (the whole weekend), we must also include our Ozark Prides, both Fayetteville and Eureka Springs, AR because we are so proud to be a part of and represent our community. Fayetteville just recently passed an anti-discrimination ordinance after countless hours of public comment and discussion. A huge step for our small town in AR with an overwhelmingly positive response from our community who showed up in droves to support our mayor and city council in this decision. We are so proud to have been a part of this progress and hope that it becomes the norm in our country: human and equal rights! What a concept!

Big Bad Gina is 5 years old!

Thanks to our local NWA community of friends, family, and fans! It was such a treat to be able to play in the very building where we all met: the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fayetteville, and celebrate with music, community, food, drink, and dancing! Thanks for all your support and encouragement from the very beginning and well beyond!
Onward we go: producing our own Amazon Music Festival, emceeing and hosting this year's National Women's Music Festival, and a west coast tour with Laura Love. Stay tuned for more details and lots of stories.
Thanks for the love of the music! Keep reaching for your dreams!

Folk Alliance International 2014 was beyond incredible!

INCREDIBLE! as in we can't believe we played and heard that much music, in that amount of time, met so many people, were inspired in many and various aspects of music and performance with workshops and presentations and gear and the list goes on! We had 10 performances, including jamming live on KKFI's WomanSong; with Tret Fure, SONiA, and Leela Grace! All of our showcases were well attended and well received. We've entered a new community and it's international and it was connected all along and is already growing wider and lovelier on so many levels. Thanks to the KC folk community at large for being so welcoming and involved in the conference. We are inspired and energized anew and look forward to the opportunities that will arise out of the sheer experience of it all.
This is a copy of just our showcase schedule. It's so fun, we had to post it again! Enjoy and Thanks!
